Rhonda obtained her professional qualifications as a Chartered Accountant in 1984 with Sydney firm, Hungerford Hancock & Offner. Her position as Senior Audit Assistant with the firm gave her valuable experience in auditing large and small manufacturing companies, registered clubs, credit unions, auctioneers, transport and investment companies. Rhonda is also a registered Tax Agent and Self-Managed Superfund Auditor.

Having come from a rural background in the Tamworth region, and working as an accountant in Bingara and Moree for 15 years, Rhonda has extensive experience with the agricultural sector. In 1999, Rhonda and her family relocated to Forster and joined the firm in our Forster office as a Taxation/Small Business Manager. In 2002, Rhonda moved to our Taree office to assist with the increased workload created after the tragic death of one of the Taree partners, Mark Petersen. Rhonda received a promotion to a Director of the firm in 2003.

Rhonda’s current areas of specialisation include audit, taxation, self-managed superannuation—tax and audit, business planning, estate planning and corporate structures.

In 2003, Scott moved from Sydney, seeking a “sea change” and found himself at our Forster office. He had previously worked in the hospitality industry in Sydney. Scott has worked his way through from trainee accountant to Client Manager, becoming a Chartered Accountant in 2010 and became a Director of the firm in that same year.

Scott holds a current Tax Agent Registration, is a qualified Self-Managed Superfund Auditor and also holds an Australian Financial Services License (limited to superannuation). In the past ten years, Scott has acquired extensive experience in all taxation matters, business planning, corporate structures and self-managed superannuation funds.

Scott’s current areas of specialisation include taxation, self-managed superannuation—tax and audit, business planning and corporate structures.

Scott began his professional career by joining the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as a graduate in 2002 in Sydney. After completing the graduate program Scott was assigned to an area focused on the tax compliance of large business. In 2004 he left the ATO and has worked in public practice since.


Scott has worked at several small and large accounting firms from Port Macquarie to Newcastle and the Central Coast.


In 2009 Scott joined the team at WLP Accountants as a Client Manager. He also completed the Chartered Accounting Program in 2009 and is a registered tax agent. Scott was appointed a director at WLP Accountants in 2021.


Scott’s current areas of specialisation are self-managed superannuation funds, complex tax matters, business structuring and general tax and business advice.


Personally Scott enjoys playing sport (tennis & cricket) and lives in Old Bar with his wife and four children.
